FAQ’s
What is polyaspartic?
Polyaspartic is a hybrid material that resembles polyurethane but with different benefits. Polyaspartic cures faster than polyurea and epoxy and can be applied in a wide range of temperatures. It’s also 4x more durable and UV stable.
What polyaspartic products do you use?
We are proud to use Spartacote by Laticrete products.
How long does the installation process take?
The entire process will be completed in 1 day. You’ll be able to walk on the floor 4-6 hours later and have full return to service in 24-36 hours.
Does it smell during or after the installation?
There is a slight odor, but the products are non-hazardous and the smell usually dissipates within a few days with plenty of ventilation.
Can you install your coating over my existing coating?
No, we would need to completely remove the existing coating by grinding before installing the new coating.
Is the floor slippery when it’s wet?
Like most floors, polyaspartic coatings should be considered slippery when wet. A non-slip additive can be added to the topcoat for a more slip-resistant finish.
My floor has some cracks and pitting. Can you repair those?
Yes, we can patch any cracks or pitting before we install the coating.
How long do polyaspartic coatings last?
When properly installed and with normal wear and tear, polyaspartic coatings will easily last 20+ years.
